Cold Steel

Blowguns – the blowgun or blowpipe has a long history that spans the globe. There is much speculation as to when and where this weapon first appeared in history- whatever the case may be, there is no mistaking its lethality. Unlike the many and varied blowgun replicas made famous by the ninja movies of the 90s, the makers at Cold Steel decided to go against the flow and create the Big Bore Blowgun. With practice, you could become proficient enough to hit targets from 20 yards out- with a heavyweight dart capable of taking out small and medium-sized game. These large caliber (.625 Magnum) blowguns are capable of shooting darts that are 20% faster and three times heavier than the competition- and with the pedigree that Cold Steel brings, buyers can rest assured that the product they have is the best that can be had.

Sword Canes – any gentleman of yore would tell you that the classical dress included a snazzy cane to round out the outfit. In England especially, the cane was used to hide a sword blade for the occasional duel of honor, not to mention for personal protection. The sword canes you normally encounter usually involve some form of flimsy stainless steel blade with plastic handles and housing- but Cold Steel has gone and done it better. As with their regular swords and knives (and machetes, etc) the blades in these sword canes are manufactured from tough, high carbon 1055 steel, mated to either a Grivory handle (a very tough material) or stainless steel head/pommel and sheathed in durable aluminum that is 2mm thick and heat-treated for strength. The shafts are tapered for classic good looks and capped with a thick rubber ferrule to help negotiate treacherous terrain. Sturdy enough for cutting or thrusting the cane sword might very well be your last line of defense- wouldn’t you rather have one that you could trust than take a gamble on something because it was cheaper?

Swords – Cold Steel swords, as with their other products, are up to the same standards of quality. Made of high carbon 1055 steel with a tough spring temper, these swords were made to withstand the rigors of cutting exercises as well as reenactment. Each sword is painstakingly handcrafted based on original pieces, but modernized for today’s warrior.

Throwers – the original projectile weapons, knives go back to antiquity. Let’s face it, practice makes perfect- and one shouldn’t wield a live steel weapon unless and until you have practiced adequately enough to prepare for such use. The training swords are made of the same heavy-duty polypropylene used to make the unbreakable bats, sjamboks and other covert style weapons; as such, they’re made to withstand a great deal of abuse with no splitting, cracking, or breaking normally associated with wooden practice weapons. Inferno Pepper Spray – a new product from Cold Steel, the inferno pepper spray is crafted from a mix of oleo capsaicin (the ingredient found in the hottest peppers) and black pepper; this canister weapon can turn the biggest, meanest, most violent human predator into a whimpering, slobbering idiot with just one short blast to the eyes. Unlike other pepper sprays, Inferno deploys a highly targetable foam that dissolves into liquid upon contact making it very difficult to remove. One good shot in the face will dilate the capillaries of the eyes causing temporary blindness, in addition to inducing choking, coughing, nausea as well as an immediate and massive sneeze reflex that will drag this super hot chili pepper extract deep into the mucus membranes in the ears, nose and throat further debilitating a would-be attacker…leaving you enough time to escape and call the cops.
