Cold Steel Blowguns

Blowguns – the blowgun or blowpipe has a long history that spans the globe. There is much speculation as to when and where this weapon first appeared in history- whatever the case may be, there is no mistaking its lethality. Unlike the many and varied blowgun replicas made famous by the ninja movies of the 90s, the makers at Cold Steel decided to go against the flow and create the Big Bore Blowgun. With practice, you could become proficient enough to hit targets from 20 yards out- with a heavyweight dart capable of taking out small and medium-sized game. These large caliber (.625 Magnum) blowguns are capable of shooting darts that are 20% faster and three times heavier than the competition- and with the pedigree that Cold Steel brings, buyers can rest assured that the product they have is the best that can be had.

Cold Steel Knives
Cold Steel Knives

Knives – Cold Steel has been in the knife making business for a long time and they are well known amongst knife aficionados for putting out quality products, year after year. With a large selection of both fixed blade as well as folding knives, there will be one to suit your individual needs and tastes; beware of cheap imitations and shoddy workmanship- if you need a knife, look no further.

Cold Steel Machetes
Cold Steel Machetes

Machetes – over the last three centuries, the machete has proven itself to be the universal outdoor and survival tool. It can cut, chop, slash, split, scrape, dig, hammer, crush, carve or whittle just about anything you put in front of it. Such a tool was naturally going to be used at some point as a weapon, and the machete has proved itself admirably in such an arena. For such a low cost, it has to be one of the best bargains in the world. All of Cold Steel’s machetes are made from 1055 carbon steel with a tough spring temper with a black, baked-on anti-rust finish; as such, Cold Steel machetes tend to be head and shoulders above the competition. Take one of these home and try it out and you’ll see for yourself what made them so popular back then as well as now.

Cold Steel Specialty
Cold Steel Specialty Weapons

Specialty Weapons– for the dreamer, enthusiast, fan and anyone else interested in weapons other than the usual norm; here you’ll find shuriken, baseball bats, war clubs, hammers, spears, fighting or walking sticks- anything that could be used as a weapon but may not necessarily look like one! The baseball bats are nigh-unbreakable, made of precision molded heavy-grade polypropylene, the hidden weapons cunningly wrought- buy the hairbrush, and the next time you’re brushing your hair and some idiot steps up behind you, separate the brush head from the handle with one fluid motion and now you’re armed with a lethal spike dagger that is low weight and all business. Just one example of what can be found here, and all of these tools and weapons share one commonality- they are built to be the toughest of their respective kinds.

Cold Steel Sword Canes
Cold Steel Sword Canes

Sword Canes – any gentleman of yore would tell you that the classical dress included a snazzy cane to round out the outfit. In England especially, the cane was used to hide a sword blade for the occasional duel of honor, not to mention for personal protection. The sword canes you normally encounter usually involve some form of flimsy stainless steel blade with plastic handles and housing- but Cold Steel has gone and done it better. As with their regular swords and knives (and machetes, etc) the blades in these sword canes are manufactured from tough, high carbon 1055 steel, mated to either a Grivory handle (a very tough material) or stainless steel head/pommel and sheathed in durable aluminum that is 2mm thick and heat-treated for strength. The shafts are tapered for classic good looks and capped with a thick rubber ferrule to help negotiate treacherous terrain. Sturdy enough for cutting or thrusting the cane sword might very well be your last line of defense- wouldn’t you rather have one that you could trust than take a gamble on something because it was cheaper?

Cold Steel Swords
Cold Steel Swords

Swords – Cold Steel swords, as with their other products, are up to the same standards of quality. Made of high carbon 1055 steel with a tough spring temper, these swords were made to withstand the rigors of cutting exercises as well as reenactment. Each sword is painstakingly handcrafted based on original pieces, but modernized for today’s warrior.

Cold Steel Throwers
Cold Steel Throwers

Throwers – the original projectile weapons, knives go back to antiquity. Most people are under the impression that you should never allow your weapon to leave your hands- but take one of these knives and they’ll practically invite you to throw them. When you hear that first satisfying thunk of steel blade biting into wood, you’ll know you’ve gone and done something right. Each of the Cold Steel throwing knives are made to withstand the rigors of practice and reenactment- whether or not you’re a professional, you’ll still be able to appreciate the quality that comes with each piece.

Cold Steel Tomahawks
Cold Steel Tomahawks

Tomahawks – the Tomahawks, manufactured through CS’s American Tomahawk Company, are precision manufactured of the same, tough 1055 carbon steel as their swords, knives and other implements and are sure to be just as crowd-pleasing as the throwing knives. No matter the style or type, each tomahawk is made with an eye towards excellence in the throw, as well as being a more than capable camp implement and backup weapon should the need arise. These ‘hawks not only fly true and can bring down game, but they can chop the firewood you’ll need to cook it as well as pound in tent stakes (for the models equipped with a flat poll or hammer head); one thing they won’t do is let you down.

Cold Steel Training
Cold Steel Training

Training Items – Cold Steel makes an impressive array of nigh-unbreakable training swords and knives for the collector, warrior and enthusiast so that they may train safely in the techniques of real weapons with total regard for safety and comfort. Let’s face it, practice makes perfect- and one shouldn’t wield a live steel weapon unless and until you have practiced adequately enough to prepare for such use. The training swords are made of the same heavy-duty polypropylene used to make the unbreakable bats, sjamboks and other covert style weapons; as such, they’re made to withstand a great deal of abuse with no splitting, cracking, or breaking normally associated with wooden practice weapons. Cold Steel has also created a number of training DVDs by weapon type so you not only have a source for reliable weapons, but also a source for learning the techniques necessary to wield these weapons safely, effectively and well.

Inferno Pepper Spray
Inferno Pepper Spray

Inferno Pepper Spray – a new product from Cold Steel, the inferno pepper spray is crafted from a mix of oleo capsaicin (the ingredient found in the hottest peppers) and black pepper; this canister weapon can turn the biggest, meanest, most violent human predator into a whimpering, slobbering idiot with just one short blast to the eyes. Unlike other pepper sprays, Inferno deploys a highly targetable foam that dissolves into liquid upon contact making it very difficult to remove. One good shot in the face will dilate the capillaries of the eyes causing temporary blindness, in addition to inducing choking, coughing, nausea as well as an immediate and massive sneeze reflex that will drag this super hot chili pepper extract deep into the mucus membranes in the ears, nose and throat further debilitating a would-be attacker…leaving you enough time to escape and call the cops.
